Schedule your audition

This is my favorite part of everything.

I could write you three paragraphs about a discontinued converter or why a handmade chassis sounds different from a mass-produced one. But none of that comes close to the moment you put on the equipment and the first note hits. At that point, there is no need for me to explain anything.

That is why I want you to hear it.

How to schedule

Write to me via WhatsApp at +56 9 6168 3499 or at info@audiophileimport.cl. Tell me what you are interested in listening to and what equipment you have today, and we will coordinate a day and time. Upon confirmation, I will send you the exact address.

Where

Las Condes, Santiago, and Viña del Mar. Private, one-person sessions: no shop noise, no one waiting for their turn, no rushing.

What the session is like

About an hour, although if you stay longer, that’s no problem. I will be the one assisting you.

There is no script or sales presentation. We start with what you want to hear, and from there we build: I swap a card, we test a different pairing, we compare two pairs of headphones with the same track. A good part of what I do in that hour is watch your face.

Bring your music

It is the most important thing you can bring.

The records you know by heart are the only ones that will tell you the truth. That song you have listened to two hundred times is exactly where you will find what you had never noticed before: the instrument in the background, the breath before the phrase, the size of the room where they recorded.

If you don’t have a way to bring it, tell me what you want to listen to when you schedule. Records, specific tracks, whatever. I’ll have it ready for your session.

And if you have headphones or a player, bring them too. Comparing against something you know well is the best way to understand what you are gaining.

If you are undecided between two models

Let me know when you schedule and I will have them ready to listen to side-by-side, with the same track and under the same conditions. That comparison resolves in ten minutes what is never resolved in a forum.

What you can listen to

The entire catalog, except for equipment brought in by special order. If you are interested in any of those, write to me and we will look at it on a case-by-case basis.

At CONSACH

On October 24 and 25, I will be at CONSACH, the first audio show held in Chile in about thirty years. If you prefer to listen there, I’ll see you at the fair.

Write to me whenever you like. And bring the song you know best: I want to see your face when something that wasn’t there before appears.
