About Audiophile Import
It all started with a Sony Walkman my dad gave me and some Koss Porta Pro headphones I bought at fourteen with my allowance money. They weren't expensive, nor did they pretend to be, but it was the first time I listened to an album I thought I knew and found things that had never been there before. That discovery has never left me.
I've been selling audiophile equipment in Chile for over twelve years, always focused on headphones. I started by selling my own gear, then importing on demand what my clients couldn't find here, and over time a list of returning customers grew. Audiophile Import was born from that: to stop importing items one by one and officially represent brands that are worth it.
Why this store exists
In Chile, anyone who wants high-end headphones or a player has two paths. Import it themselves, without warranty, without support, and without ever having listened to it. Or buy it from someone who sells audio among twenty other categories and doesn't know what they are selling.
Audiophile Import is the official representative of Unique Melody | Luxury & Precision in Chile. That means real stock in the country, manufacturer-backed warranty, and the possibility to listen to the equipment before deciding.
How I work
This is a business run by its owner. When you write, I answer. When you come to listen to equipment, I serve you. There are no commission-based salespeople or catalogs I haven't tested myself.
Before recommending something, I need to know what you listen to, what you'll use it with, and what's missing from your current setup. Sometimes that means telling you that the most expensive model isn't the right one for you.
I still have those Porta Pros. And deep down, I'm still selling the same thing that hooked me at fourteen: a portable player and a pair of headphones. Only the scale has changed.
Where to listen
Equipment can be listened to by appointment in Las Condes, Santiago, and Viña del Mar. Write to me and we'll coordinate. There's no obligation to buy: if you come to listen and realize it wasn't what you were looking for, it was still worthwhile.
